Why 30% you ask? (You didn't, but I'll tell you anyway)
Because that's the age when I was FINALLY listened to and evaluated and received a partial diagnosis. I say partial, because that cunt only said "you very likely have EDS" and then told me to get water therapy and come back to get assessed again, like it's something I could cure myself of 🙃
Instead, I found a PT that was the first medical professional I've ever found that knew more about EDS than me. She told me I was the most severe case she ever saw and there's no doubt about my diagnosis.
My only remaining questions are about the type/types I have. Last I looked into things, they were up to 13 different types of EDS-each one showing different ways the faulty collagen can make the body act. You can even have multiple types. It's a genetic mutation. Most types have a genetic marker you can look for, but the most common type, the hypermobile type doesn't. There has been potential progress in finding one, but it's still too early in that research to difinitively say.
Remember, it's not actually rare just rarely diagnosed.
Collagen makes up EVERYTHING. It's a fundamental building block of the body-right in the blueprints and my blueprints were drawn very poorly and cheaply, which is the main cause of my mirade of health issues.
